Ever experienced nausea when taking Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus or Saxenda? How about those sulphur burps or acid reflux or even thinning hair?

These can be some of the most common side effects when using weight loss medications such as Mounjaro and Wegovy. These symptoms can usually be managed by natural remedies or dietary changes, however sometimes we need a little bit of extra assistance.
For many years, we have provided anti-sickness tablets to help combat nausea, with good effect. Due to the positive result with the anti-sickness tablets, we have decided to expand our roster of complimentary products to help combat some of the other more common side effects.
So what are these products and which side effects do they help with?
Acid Reflux
What is acid reflux? Acid reflux happens when stomach acid flows backward from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach).
Normally, a ring of muscle at the bottom of the esophagus, called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), acts like a valve. It opens to let food into the stomach and then closes tightly to keep stomach contents from coming back up.
When the LES doesn’t close properly or relaxes too often, acid and partially digested food can flow back (reflux) into the esophagus.
The symptoms of acid reflux can include:
Heartburn (a burning feeling in the chest, usually after eating or at night)
Regurgitation (a sour or bitter taste in the mouth from stomach acid coming up)
Bloating or burping (those lovely smelling and tasting sulphur burps)
Nausea
Sore throat, hoarseness, or chronic cough (from irritation)
We now offer Omeprazole, which can be purchased on its own or with your weight loss product.

Taken once a day, Omeprazole 20mg is a type of medicine known as proton pump inhibitors. This medication targets symptoms of acid reflux, providing relief from indigestion and heartburn.
And how much will it cost? For 28 tablets, we charge £10.99. This will last you for 4 weeks to match your course with using the weight loss products.
Hair Thinning or Hair Loss
This can occur with sudden weight loss. This type of hair shedding is often called telogen effluvium. Here’s why it happens:
Nutrient deficiencies: Restrictive diets or rapid calorie cuts may deprive your body of protein, iron, zinc, biotin, and essential fatty acids — all important for hair growth. This is why you need to ensure you are still eating regular meals (even if they are small) and ensuring you are eating the right foods to get the right nutrients
Stress on the body: Rapid weight loss can be a physical stressor. This stress may push hair follicles into the telogen (resting) phase, leading to shedding a few months later. This is why a steady, progressive weight loss is the best approach and why a weight loss journey should be seen as a marathon rather than a sprint.
Hormonal changes: Weight loss can influence hormones (thyroid, insulin, cortisol), which also play a role in hair health.
Semaglutide and appetite suppression: People using GLP-1 medications sometimes unintentionally under-eat, which may increase risk of nutrient deficiencies linked to hair shedding. Ensuring you are eating regularly, with a sensible balanced amount of food groups & calories, can help reduce the risk of hair thinning or loss.
Mostly, hair thinning is overall the whole scalp rather than patches. It is usually temporary and can be avoided by following every day steps, such as:
Eating enough protein - aim for at least 60–80g/day.
Taking supplements, such as iron, vitamin D, zinc, omega-3s, and biotin are especially important.
Avoid extreme calorie restriction — aim for a steady, moderate weight loss with sensible meal sizes and food groups
If you are experiencing hair loss, we offer the following treatment for men: Finasteride
The cost of Finasteride is:
1 month course - £13.99
2 month course - £26.49
