Liraglutide: a new option for the treatment of obesity

Five clinical trials were identified that evaluated the effectiveness of liraglutide for the treatment of obesity.
​
This included Trial 1807, which looked at 564 participants assigned to a random Liraglutide dose & a placebo dose. They found that those on Liraglutide experienced more weight loss than those on the placebo dose (4.8kg to 7.2kg opposed to 2.8kg).
